Ok..that's a lie..any fucking moron that understands how gravity works and how the bar travels steps backwards if they lose it in any overhead lift...plus standing there shaking like a leaf at the top of the clean should tell you to not try and put it over tour head..also its more or less all one motion

Personally, I don't say anything negative about crossfit, all I can do is pray that either they will get a qualify trainer or learn from their injuries from an unqualified trainer.

the problem ..and the ONLY problem with crossfit is really piss poor instructors that fancy themselves as some sort of drill sgts and the never ending need for them to try and come up with new and innovative (dangerous) things to try and combine everything..things like barbell squatting on swiss balls which is just dangerous
its also has an almost cult-like paleo following despite insurmountable evidence to the contrary that its good for all people all of the time
 
their gyms are intentional industrial atmospheres with stark equipment
their gyms are called a "box" (usually in industrial park warehouses) and their workouts are called "WOD" or workout of the day
a typical workout is 90 minutes in a class atmosphere

I'm not that guy who plays the "genetics" card at the drop of a hat, but the fact of the matter is Lance Armstrong wasn't born to compete in strongman competitions, and Phil Heath was never going to be a fucking male ballerina. Genetics undeniably play a role in determining ones predilections toward specific athletic movements and sports, and the idea that crossfit is this ultimate training program fit for everyone across the board is just fucking ignorant.

And the paleo thing pisses me off in a way too. Anthropologists have argued for eons over what prehistoric man's diet was like, and there's still no consensus, so maybe the paleo diet is great for some people, but it's just erroneous to suggest that we evolved to eat that way; maybe we did, maybe we didn't, the point is nobody has a fucking clue.

If you uave good trainers who are well versed in proper execution of OLY lifts and are sticklers for teaching form all around and preach safety, then by all means....crossfag away until your heart is content. I keep trying to get my niece to let me train her properly for meets because I know she would kill with the right instruction.
 
I've been to about 6 different ones and none are anything like what is parodied in the videos. Some
are better than others but you have to like to do that kind of "team" exercise which I do not. I would
say crossfit will get the average person in much better shape than the same person walking on a treadmill
and doing machine weights.

Let's face it...bodybuilders have their share of faggoty rituals and outfits too.

Now the boxing... I've been boxing since a kid and most of my workouts were "crossfit." People don't realize it but it's literally the same thing. A few exercises I could do without (those weird pull ups lol.)

You got it right. He was referring to a ring magazine question on wether he trains his boxers to have a lot of strength.
