The whole concept of the thread was out of line IMHO. I've been away fro the past hour, so no idea what happened after I posted.

No, SteroidsForYou posted something about the current Israel/Ghaza conflict, and as ppl responded, his bias towards one side became more evident. I stopped watching it, and next thing I saw was this thread.

Yeah, that was what my last post in that thread said, which is why i stopped reading it. Just not the right forum, IMHO. Although on IMF there's a chick(?) who seems to be prostelytizing her religion on there all the time. kinda odd on a gearz site.
 
To bad. It did belong in general discussion, and is worthy of discussion. Unfortunately, is only beneficial if people can leave out their bias and get to the root. Sort of peeling back the onion layers.

I guess this board is no different than the people on that side of the world. It was an interesting thread from what I was able to read.

The palastinians are used by the arab world as proxies for war against isreal. Theres not one arab country that wants them in their country. Isreal is going to protect themselves and they have every right.

The problem I have is S4Y is an obvious supporter of HAMAS.

That means if you buy gear from S4Y then you are knowingly giving your money to an entity that could be supporting a muslim terrorist group.

Well if you're paying taxes your supporting a terrorist group. Our country arms all these groups and years later we go to war with them. So potentially we are all terrorists. Plus the word terrorist in itself is ridiculous. I told someone I would punch them in the face. I inflicted fear in them, am I now a terrorist?

Also to touch on this a bit. Monsanto is underhanded work by our government that most pay no attention to. Police now will have drones flying on US soil to police us all. This scares the shit out of me. So to me Uncle Sam, who I fought for overseas, is in fact a terrorist himself.

I am not sure I am following you. Are you saying the US funds terrorists? If so who?

And if the government did fund terrorists that doesn't mean I should pay a sponsor that backs terrorist groups.

I think you threatening to hit me in the face and 911 are a bit different.
 
unfortunately skip law enforcement makes pretty grand sweeping generalizations about what is terrorism and what isn't


"charley wilsons war" is about the easiest ways I can think of to cite an example of how we fund terrorism, how we brought retaliation on ourselves



also...if an invading country rolled through my town and leveled everything I knew..killed off some of my family, I'm not sure I wouldn't resort to some sort of extremism in retaliation

The Mujahideen were in their own country fighting the Soviet Union to stop the invasion. It was an unconventional war but one limited to stop the annexation of their sovereign country.

That does not meet the definition of terrorism, not in my book anyway.

Monsanto is a chemical and agricultural conglomerate and doubt they make unmanned drones. But I do agree with you, drones on our own soil pisses me off.

I agree with you 100%! We seem to think we are the victims.

Go to any of those countries, we are the terrorists there. You can see their eyes when you're a gunner holding a 50cal in their face.
