Can't donate blood

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this. I can't donate blood. Apparently I was exposed to hep b at some point in the past although I never actually was sick, and even according to them never was a carrier, but I'm no longer able to donate blood. RBC's are just at the top of normal. Pcp won't authorize a blood draw because it's not drastically out of range, so I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to figure this out. Any thoughts?

This sounds like a genius idea. A quick google didn't turn up anything. Any pointers on how to locate a facility?

I would also check universities or colleges as well.

Ask heavyiron, I believe he donates for research.
