So my fiance recently found out she was pregnant :)

Her question is, what should be her daily calorie intake ? We know it shouldn't go up any until she's further along. We just want a range she should stay in.. she's not wanting to gain more weight than needed.

She is kinda wanting to lose some weight too before gaining more naturally...

she almost 8 weeks.

She's, 5' around 125-130lbs

i dont have exact #s but my wife went from eating 3 times a day to 5 times a day by her 2nd month. she is extreamly athletic used to run everyday 4-6 miles a day 5 days a week prior to pregnancy since pregnant walks 3 miles a day 5 days a week. anyways she went from eating 3 larger meals to 5 smaller meals a day calories only went about about an extra 500 a day. point im getting to (sorry so long) she has only gained 31 lbs, she is 9 months exactly today. had ob appointment this morn baby is perfectly healthy and so is she. baby is 7 1/2 lbs. my wife does not have that watery bloated look that most get while prego. dont know if its just her or the way she eats and trains.
il get you her exact calorie intake tonite if you want. she is almost same stats as your girl. prior to pregnancy she was 120lbs 5'2. dont know if any of this helps but basically firm believer if you eat right and still take care of your self in and out of gym you dont have to look like some of the pregnant woman that think they can eat anything that fits in there mouth. lol

Congratulations, brother!

In terms of calorie intake, I would look beyond a forum, and go with her to see a pre-natal care specialist.
i totally agree with that. i do know our mid wife and nutritionist gave her a range at one of the first appointments bro

Thanks! And they kinda talked about it. They said 5-6 smaller meals a day and that her calories shouldn't change at all until week 15-20. And even then the max they would get to would be around 200 extra calories. They said she should only gain a total of 25-35 MAX.. anything else is just extra eating and the extra eating is typically where the things like stretch marks appear lol

Congrats man!

All I know is my fiance started hitting the food pretty hard but really didnt gain that much weight and when she did it was in the right areas lol. For her the pregnancy weight came off within a month it seemed like.

Just make sure she keeps up the exercise in the first trimester.

Aside from that, ditto the advice that GS and the others gave - midwife and nutritionist who specializes in this stuff is the way to go, not us meatheads on a bodybuilding forum haha.

Some days my wife eats a shitload some days I have to kind of force her to eat because she doesn't feel good she's tiny though I really can't see her gaining too much weight

And our doc recommended cutting back on the exercise and no more dance or Zumba or whatever where she is jumping around

Yeah lol her boobs are bigger already :) and she's all ass so the doc said that will probably be where she gains some weight.. I figured some females would have chimed in but I guess there aren't as many here than at IMF.. I thought about posting this in the female section over there too.. im being lazy lol

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR FAMILY TRIS.

are female base here is small but gettin some tips from the IML girls can't hurt bro. Definately follow the advice of your
Docs, my wife gained roughly 25lbs never got over 150 and a healthy 8 pounder lil girl was the result. the weight came off fairly easy also for her, but ALL when are gonna respond different. True story, we have a friend she competes In physique and gained some where around 100lbs !! No lie, less then 18mths later man she took first at a fairly large show. My point is bouncing back to the body before the pregency is possible.

U want her to eat 8000+ calories a day . If she doesn't put on 100 pounds the baby will be the runt and all the reindeer will tease him because his nose glows . Jk I have no clue

Dude it's your son coming out of her; you make sure she eats hearty. Get your ass to Cracker Barrel. At that height a good 2,500 a day sounds reasonable/a bit on the high side. I'd shoot for that.
