What do yall think of vitamins? Do you take a multi vitamin or any vitamins? I have some friends that take them and others that dont. So what do you think?

I think that you're body can't work at 100% without the micro nutrients we need. If you are a massive veggie eater and you think you get enough vitamins and supplement the few you don't...I see no need for a multi. I personally take them because I'm not a big veggie eater. I can tell a difference in my mood, energy, and recovery when I dont

Also everyone seems to be throwing out big named vitamins. There are some decent multis out there that aren't a ton of pills a day. They don't have all the extras but they are still good just for filling it what you may not get from food.

Used to use Animal Pak. Pee looked neon! Now I'm trying out Orange Triad. Has joint, digestion, and immune complexes in it on top of the vitamin portion.

The problem people have is most food we eat presently does not contain the micro nutrient that it should.
With today's farming practices in the west and our blatant disregard for the environment out arable land is severely depleted which means the crops grown are similarly deficient and the livestock that eat the grass or grains are too. Farmers have to supplement their livestock heavily to minimize deficiencies that cause ill health and reduced production of meat or milk.
Thus even with the best and broadest diet it is now almost impossible to consume the nutrient values we did in centuries past.

So it is highly likely that everyone would benefit from targeted supplements for known deficiencies in their area of food production.

I think they are helpful. Seems to keep me more regular and prevent sickness, but not a night and day difference. However, they are so cheap and an easy way to get many helpful nutrients.. so why not? Especially if you are training hard and expending extra resources..

I typically use animal pak or orange triad. Are they worth it, probably not, but it's not going to kill me to have some extra nutrients. Let's not get started on the whole " massive doses of vitamins are detrimental to health " crap.

I take a shitload of stuff, been working on finding the perfect mix for me for over a year and I have to tell ya now that I have it dialed in I feel great and am making improvement in the gym again.

There are many key nutrients overlooked by most people and most multivitamins dont have the proper form of the proper nutrients OR nearly enough to be of any real serious benefit although they can make a good base to build off of.
