Ok I'm trying to work my way up to 500 so far 475 for 3 and 455 for 5 are my best. My question is how do you warm up good without using up all your strength. I am doing sets of five 315,405,455 right now and on light days stop at 405 for 8-10 and do more sets. Advice appreciated.
 
found this routine online where you start with empty bar and do set of 6 then 5 then go to 50% of goal and do 4 then 75% and do 3 then add 10lbs at a time and do 1 rep. with 3-4 minutes rest in between. very time consuming but I hit 485 for 1 and if my normal partner had been there might have went heavier. now after that I added my own touch and went to 405 and did as many as possible which was 5 and 315 for 15 then leg press machine light weight high reps. felt good
 
This is how I warmup 135x5 for 2 sets, 185x3, 225x3, 275x3,315x3, 365x1, 405x1 then go up from there. However if during the warmup process I do any weight and it just feels "off" I do that weight again. The lower weights are lifted about every 90sec, and when I get above 315 I wait about 2-3 min between sets.
 
Also forget to post when I hit 505 I went from 405 to 465 then wait 5 min 485 which felt good then waited 5min and hit 505.

Pretty Much exact same way I warm up. I always start with foam rolling my back/hips/legs. Then couch stretches and a few others
