I am lucky. My son turned 13 this year so i am letting him work out with me.
I get someone to work out with and get to spend some great quality time with my son. He keeps me motivated to because when I don't feel like going, he says he wants to and I don't want to let him down.
I prefer to workout on my own & just ask for a spot if needed. I like to go at a good pace & my schedule is all over the place.
For me it is difficult to organize my life activities with someone else's daily activities. Plus, most of my partners end up talking to others to much. When you jump from one set to another a 2 minute chat screws everything up. A partner to me tends to be more aggravation than help.
You haven't had a good training partner then. I'm not at home much anymore so I can't train with mine anymore with the rare exception of once a month or so; no workouts are better than we rock train together. It's just the mentality of the person, are they there to "workout" or actually train; there is a HUGE FUCKING difference between those two words.
